Three more free workbooks: change orders, progress billing, subs
The free Excel cost tracker has company. Three new workbooks, each one for a job the spreadsheet you inherited never did well, and each one waiting at the end of the guide it belongs to:
- A change order log. One line per change order — price to the client, your cost, days added, signed or not — with the adjusted contract and everything still awaiting a signature totaled for you. For the remodeler who keeps saying yes in the driveway and wants it to land on the final invoice. At the end of how to write a change order.
- A progress invoice. A schedule of values with percent complete per line, retainage held, previous payments and the amount due this period — the invoice's arithmetic already wired up. - A subcontractor payment log. Each subcontract with its approved change orders, then every invoice and payment against it — invoiced, paid, retainage held, waivers on file and the balance to finish, per sub.
