Obra is project finance for independent contractors and small construction and trades businesses. Receipts come in from the job site — WhatsApp, email, photo — and the real numbers come out, live, on every project.
Most crews learn what a job earned months after it ended.
The receipts were in a glovebox, the change orders in a text thread, and the profit was a feeling until the accountant closed the year. By then the next three jobs had been bid on the same guess.
Obra was built so a contractor knows, on any given day, what each project has collected, what it has cost and what is left — without typing it all in. A photo of the receipt is the data entry.
It is not accounting software and it is not a messaging app. It is the ledger for the job, kept by the people on the job.

A number is only called what it is
Cash collected is cash collected, recorded cost is recorded cost. Obra never labels an estimate as a result, and a forecast is never allowed below what you have already spent.

Nothing is saved without your review
Receipt scanning drafts the entry; a person confirms it. Team expenses pass a reviewer before they touch the project's numbers.

Your data is yours
Export everything as CSV whenever you like, delete your organization from Settings, and never see an ad. We don't sell data — we sell seats.

Two languages, one product
English and Spanish are both first-class — in the app, on WhatsApp, in every guide — because that is what crews actually speak. Nothing ships in one language only.

Obra is made by My Tiny Rocket LLC, a small founder-led company organized in Wyoming, United States. Obra launched publicly in 2026 and is built for contractors in the US first, with Spanish-speaking crews in mind from the start.
We answer our own support email. If something in Obra is wrong or missing, the person who reads your message is the person who fixes it.
